New Release: Mushroom Fairies and Guest DT Marina!

I have recently been requested to make some woodland fairies and mushrooms.
So here it is, our Newest Release:

Joining us today as a Guest Designer is our winner from Sami Stamps Challenge 009:
I’m Marina from the UK. I work full-time in education and I have a family, but in my free-time, I make things. What I enjoy most is having an idea and trying to make it work.
(Sometimes it works better than others!)
I’m on two design teams, Inkspirational and Pinspirational Challenges. At the moment, as well as making lots of cards, I am scrapbooking and trying to sew a present for a friend’s new baby. I have also set myself the challenge of making a Christmas card a week, and posting it on my blog.
Thank you Sami for having me as Guest Designer.
Marina Crafted a beautiful faux wood tag out of chipboard using "Mushroom Fairy." It turned out just so lovely I wanted to include her tutorial so you can make one of your own!
 Materials:
Sami Stamps digi Mushroom Fairy
Chipboard rectangle  (mine had a white coating on one side and bevelled edges)
Markers,  Ultra fine glitter ,Two shades of beige/brown ink pad
Clear ink pad (Versamark)  and clear embossing powder
Heat gun and hole punch
Woodgrain rubber stamp
Twine, charm, gem

1.) Color the fairy and cut it out closely.
2.) Color the chipboard using the paler ink and stamp the woodgrain with the darker ink.

3.) Glue the fairy image onto the tag and punched a hole.  I put glue on the fairy’s wings and sprinkled them with ultra-fine glittter.
4.) Dabble the whole tag with clear ink , sprinkle it with clear embossing powder and heat it to melt. This was repeated 3 or four times till the surface was glassy smooth. The dabbing of clear ink caused particles of glitter to be transferred across the tag, which (although not originally intended!) gives the whole tag a fairy sparkle.
5.) I finished it off with some twine, a dragonfly charm and a gem

My Design Team would love to share their examples with you this week. Such fun as always! =) A Big, BIG thank you goes to these wonderful ladies for always sharing their talent with us!

Please remember that I always love to take requests! E-mail me at sami@adayfordaisies.com and your idea just may show up as a New Release! Or even better-request your very own Custom Stamp! Click HERE for examples.
